The core of LUX ELEMENTS hard foam support elements consists of expanded polystyrene (EPS). To contribute to environmental protection, we use a production method for the manufacture of this hard foam in our own factory facilities, which completely does without harmful foaming agents such as CO^_² or CFC. The material is foamed with water vapour only.

The environment additionally benefits from the fact that EPS is 100 % recyclable.

Do you know the connection between our hard foam support element and a clothes hanger?

The residual material arising from cutting our components is not simply disposed of, but is shredded and used for the production of new hard foam support elements. Whatever is then still left over is recycled by other industrial companies and finally finds use as shoe soles or clothes hangers.
